Hi Product Hunt — I'm Lorenzo. I'm a support engineer in Miami, and this is the first thing I've built and shipped.
It started with a stupid problem. My closet was full and I kept wearing the same twelve things. I'd buy something, wear it twice, and forget I owned it. I didn't need more clothes. I needed to actually know what I had.
So Moda starts with what you own. You photograph your closet — it strips the backgrounds for you — then build outfits from your real clothes, plan them onto a calendar, and tap "Wore it" when you actually wear something. There's a Dress Me mode that'll suggest a fit from your own wardrobe when you're standing there with no ideas, and a packing list builder for trips.
Because you're logging wears, it can also show you what each piece is really costing you — the jacket you wear constantly versus the one that's been on a hanger since March. And the wishlist checks what you're about to buy against what's already hanging there. That one's saved me money more than once.
It's free, iOS, no ads, nothing behind a paywall, and you can delete all your data from inside the app.
Where it's going: the more it learns about what you actually wear, the better those suggestions get. Getting your real closet into one place is step one, not the whole plan.
I'd love feedback — especially from anyone who's tried a closet app before and stopped using it. What made you quit? That's genuinely the most useful thing you could tell me today.
