Hello! I'm Cleve, a guy who cooks at home and founder of MÄNNKITCHEN the maker of the MK9. Rather than setting out to create a product to appeal to the maximum number of people, we set out to create a product that is built for the growing number of men who cook at home (nearly 50% increase in the last 50 years in the US). This meant designing a handle that would fit those with larger hands and widening the blade to increase knuckle clearance. We're using US made X63-Nitrogen steel that outperforms traditional knife steels in edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness. You can use any knife you want. Most are just fine.
