Hello Product Hunt!
I’m the creator of Mivva, and I am incredibly excited to share it with you all today.
Why I Built Mivva
Self-publishing a book sounds romantic, but the reality is an absolute nightmare of formatting technicalities. Between calculating bleed sizes, wrestling with margins, ensuring character consistency across pages, and trying to format separate files for Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, and Lulu - the friction kills thousands of great book ideas before they ever see the light of day.
I built Mivva to completely flatten that learning curve. I wanted to create a platform where anyone could simply describe their idea in a sentence, collaborate with a smart assistant, and walk away with a beautifully formatted, print-ready book without needing an engineering or design degree. Whether it’s a bedtime story, a custom comic, a specialized journal, or an activity book, Mivva handles the heavy lifting.
What Feedback I Need Most
We are entirely free to start - you can jump in right now, chat with Mivva, and see a full sample of your book without entering a credit card. As early adopters, your insights are everything to me. I would love your thoughts on:
The Onboarding & Creation Flow: Is the conversational interface intuitive? Did the initial book sample accurately capture the vision or style you described?
Asset Variety & Utility: Mivva currently supports 18 different kinds of books (including coloring books, puzzles, and workbooks). Are there specific book formats or page types you feel are missing?
Character Consistency: If you tested a fiction or children's book, how well did the visual characters hold up across different pages?
Platform Export Needs: We format precisely to KDP, Lulu, and IngramSpark rules. If you are a veteran self-publisher, does our export flow cover everything you look for in print-ready files?
I’ll be hanging out here in the comments all day to answer your questions, take your feature requests, and chat about the future of indie publishing.
Thank you so much for your support, and I can't wait to see what you create today!
