I built Fikry after noticing that nearly every AI product is competing to be more accurate, faster, and more useful.
I wanted to explore a different question: Can an AI be memorable because of its character—even when it isn’t particularly useful?
Fikry is a mis-trained AI with bad data, good intentions, and unreasonable confidence. Most of each answer sounds genuinely helpful. Then, just as you begin to trust it, Fikry takes one small turn into complete absurdity.
But Fikry isn’t only a prompt wrapped around a chatbox. He watches your cursor, reacts to your messages, falls asleep when ignored, makes sounds, changes expressions, and lives inside a strange retro CRT interface.
I built the entire experience as a solo developer, using GPT-5.6 Sol in Codex as my coding and reasoning partner.
