You are founders but spending nearly 100% resource on coding without GTM/marketing/strategy? Miniowl runs and remind you to balance your resource: Product, GTM, Strategy, Learning, Admin...etc. You see the trap in real time, not on Sunday.
Hey Product Hunt š
I'm Trung, building Miniowl from Tokyo.
A story on why Miniowl exists. Half year ago I did an honest audit of how I spent my week/month as a solo founder. Roughly 85% of my time was in what I now call the "Joy+Skill trap" - coding, refactoring, building agents. Things I'm good at and enjoy. Only ~15% was in the Sweet Spot: user interviews, writing, marketing. The work that actually moves the business forward but feels uncomfortable.
So I built miniowl.
Every 20 minutes, it takes the windows you've had open ā app + title + URL, NEVER page content, NEVER screen capture, NEVER clipboard ā and uses an LLM to roll them into 5 strategic categories: Product, GTM, Strategy, Learning, Admin (It's default, u can edit your context anytime). It sits in your menu bar. One glance: "73% Joy+Skill this morning, 0% GTM." The honesty stings. That's the point.
A few specifics:
ā Lives in your menu bar
ā NEVER your screen, keystrokes, or clipboard
ā 100% local. Cloud as plus alpha
I'd love your feedback ā especially:
1. Does the category taxonomy match how YOU think about your time?
2. Does seeing this in the menu bar change behavior, or just decorate it?
3. Any other solo founders here willing to be a tester before the next iteration?
Will be here all day. Ask me anything š¦
ā Trung
