I've always been fascinated by the idea of having conversations with my younger self So I built a journaling app that creates a mini persona for each year you journal, which you can then go back and chat with. Or to put it more honestly: I made the 100,000th journaling CRUD app for the App Store and slapped some semantic embeddings and the OpenAI API on top. But that just doesn't sound as cool! 😄 How it works: Journal about your experiences (text, video, or time capsules to your future self) The app creates AI personas representing different years of your life. That knows about you and talks like you. I image chatting with these life like personas can be anything for anyone. For me it is the preservation that excites me. Saving 2025 me like version control in a GIT repo. Others might find comfort in the advice or perspective of their younger selves, or just reconnect with who they used to be I highly doubt this is a product for everyone but I'm really excited because it's something I've wanted to build for years. I've been journaling and collecting personal data specifically for this moment. In my personal test version, I've even integrated years of text message history to help craft more authentic dialogue and context for each persona.
