Mind the Map is the new geography game for both geo-geniuses and atlas rookies. Get from country A to country B in the least amount of moves, while moving through bordering countries only. One tiny daily challenge at a time, and you'll unlock that atlas aura in no time.
I love the simplistic design and the fact that there are new routes each day. It is obvious that the site is built with a lot of care, both in terms of ui and responsivity.
What needs improvement
I'm hoping for a global leaderboard, so I can see how bad I'm doing compared to others.
I love geography, and alternatives like wordle has some limitations with regards to variation. A word is a word. I will never learn all of the 198 countries in the world and their relation to each other. This way I learn something new every day.
Does the game include islands and microstates fairly?
The came encompasses islands and other microstates in a creative way, allowing you to travel by ferry to nearby islands.
Is keyboard input smooth and responsive?
The keyboard input is smooth and is giving you suggestions to countries, so that you don't have to write out the whole names of countries like Trinidad and Tobago, that are terribly long
How accessible is it for colorblind or low-vision players?
The simplistic design and visual cues are accessible for all players. It would even work with a screen reader, if you wanted to try the game but had reduced eyesight.
