Milepost is a driving journal for your car on iOS, with an MCP server for ChatGPT, Claude, and other compatible AI agents. Record routes, photos, notes, music, and moments in Roadbooks. Share with friends for reactions and comments, or send a public web link. Build your garage, collect city and state stamps in each car’s Stampbook, relive routes in 3D, and make animated shares and monthly recaps. Record for free; Pro unlocks older history, exports, and deeper insights.

the Highway 1 origin story tracks, most of the good driving-log apps I've tried started from someone wanting to hold on to a specific trip, not from a spreadsheet problem. the MCP server is the part I didn't expect on a journal app though, what's the question people actually ask an agent against their own Roadbooks? I'm guessing something like "how many miles did I drive for work this quarter" for mileage deduction purposes, but curious if that's the real use case or if people are asking it stranger things like "find every drive where I stopped near the coast."
The stampbook per car is a lovely idea, it turns a log into something you want to fill. Does route recording run in the background all day, and what does that cost in battery on a long drive? That's usually what makes me uninstall trip trackers.
@gbasovv There’s different levels of recording. We don’t auto-record by default because we want users to be aware of when their location is being recorded. If you’re comfortable with auto recording, you can turn that on in settings. And then the actual recording frequency has three modes: continuous, balanced, and battery saver that you can pick from. It can also dynamically adjust the background processing based on battery life, memory, etc. so overall, it’s had an extremely minimal impact on my beater life
@heysaik Not recording by default is the right call. Trip trackers lose me exactly at the moment I find out they were logging all along. And a battery saver mode answers my actual worry. I'll put it on balanced for the next long drive and see how it does. Congrats on the launch!
