Mietwagensparen.de is a free car rental price tracker built for travelers from Germany and or in Europe. Select your provider, route, dates and vehicle class, and we check the price every day. When the same rental becomes cheaper, you get an alert and can use free cancellation to rebook at the lower price. No account, no app and no daily comparison work required. A real Mallorca example showed a 48% price range for the same rental period.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋
We built Mietwagensparen.de after noticing how much rental car prices can change even after a trip has already been booked.
Most travelers compare prices once, complete their booking and never check again. But when the reservation includes free cancellation, a later price drop can be an opportunity to cancel and rebook the same trip at a lower price.
Mietwagensparen.de automates that process:
🚗 Select your rental provider, route, dates and vehicle class
📉 We check the price every day
🔔 You receive an alert when a cheaper option appears
💶 You can rebook and keep the difference
The service is free, requires no account and is currently focused on travelers in Germany.
In one real Mallorca example, the fully insured rental price ranged from €350 to €670 for the same rental period — a difference of 48%.

We would love your feedback: Would you use price tracking after booking a rental car, and which countries or rental providers should we support next?

Tried it for a week-long Mallorca rental and the price dropped 30 euros overnight so I rebooked in a minute, no account nonsense. Honestly impressed that something this useful stays free.

honestly this is a pretty clever setup, especially leaning into the free cancellation angle. one thing i'd love to see is the ability to set a target price yourself, so it only pings you once the rental drops below a number you actually care about instead of any tiny dip.
