Hello! Thank you for having interests in MicroClean. Why did we build this? We deeply explored the struggles of single-person households by searching keywords like "I hate cleaning my small apartment" on Reddit and Twitter. What we discovered wasn't just "cleaning is annoying," but the emotional pain of "not knowing where to start" - that overwhelming feeling Most existing cleaning apps focus on checklists or scheduling, but they don't solve the biggest barrier: the paralyzing feeling of where to begin. What's new and unique about our launch? 1. AI-powered personalized mission generation - Users simply upload a photo of their room, and AI instantly recommends 5 cleaning tasks that can be completed in 5 minutes, specifically tailored to that space - Not generic checklists, but solutions customized to each person's actual living space 2. Micro-task approach - Instead of overwhelming goals like "clean the entire room" that other apps suggest, we break it down into 5-minute micro-missions - Minimizes psychological burden to actually drive action What are we most proud of? The feedback from our user testing makes us most proud. When Reddit beta testers told us this was "the first app that actually got me to start cleaning," we knew we had truly solved the core problem we set out to address: the overwhelming barrier to getting started. We're also proud that we could quickly validate with a web MVP and actually measure users' emotional transformation, not just task completion. The fact that we identified this specific emotional pain point and built a solution that directly addresses it - rather than adding another generic productivity tool to the market - feels like our biggest achievement.
