“Great job on Mezzi’s launch! Congratulations @fintechnerd
I’m really impressed with its seamless broker integration and the app’s design is visually appealing.
When do you plan to release it on Android ?”
@vmoola Thanks! We're anxious to release on Android. We're testing it internally along with web. We're first focused on perfecting the experience for a smaller number of users, hence iOS.

Super slick. Congrats on the launch! Do you work with Wells Fargo?
@mdny06 Hi Ashwin, there is a Free tier and Premium tier. Premium, which includes a personalized tax-loss harvesting guide and ETF fee savings, is $9.99/month. Our hope is that you walk away with hundreds if not thousands in savings.

💡 Bright idea
@makeitjain_ Thanks. Do you offer similar tax advice for ETFs and mutual funds based on gains and losses? Just wondering if there’s guidance for people like me, who don’t trade individual stocks but buy and sell various funds throughout the year.
@mdny06 Great question! Our personalized steps to tax-loss harvesting look at all of your assets in your connected brokerage accounts, so stocks, mutual funds, and ETFs. In fact, tax-loss harvesting is a very popular strategy with ETFs alone and is practiced by many financial advisors. Our goal is to make it so easy you can do it on your own. One simple example: Let's say you bought a cybersecurity ETF at the beginning of the year and you are down $3,000 on it. You could sell it and repurchase another cybersecurity ETF to maintain exposure, while taking advantage of the $3,000 tax deduction. We try to make this all very clear in our app so you know what goes into your personalized tax calculator. We also let you input your personal federal tax rate.
One important note regarding mutual funds. Some pay something called a "capital gains distribution." This factors into properly accounting for your gains and losses. We don't currently support this but plan on incorporating it into our tax-loss harvesting feature in the near future.

My wife has a lot of individual accounts. How can she connect her investment account?
@inspectorsaab She can connect her accounts. We partner with a variety of industry leaders like Plaid, Mesh, Finicity, and Meld to securely and privately sync with your investment accounts.

Congrats on the launch Mezzi team! I love how the app syncs to all my brokers. The tax savings and the ETF savings insight is also pretty cool.

I honestly wish I had this a year ago. From what I could see you either pay an advisor a ton of money, you do this by hand over several hours each time in excel, or you have to move your money out of brokerages you already trust and rely on into someone new.
Having something that actually lets you get those powerful insights without having to actually do this by hand or change all your accounts around is amazing.
@jawwad_w Absolutely! We support almost every major broker. We believe we cover 90%+ of the US retail investor market today and expect to get to 98% coverage of the market in the next couple of weeks. Schwab works seamlessly across both taxable and retirement accounts. Our family has personally connected our Schwab accounts, in addition to E*Trade, Vanguard, and Robinhood.

Amazing! Will definitely give it a try. How is your app similar and different to other fin apps like Mint?@fintechnerd
@jawwad_w Mint and some personal finance apps have been mostly focused on budgeting and saving through cutting your spending. There are some great apps in the space and many Mint users are unhappy that Intuit is shutting it down. Different from those apps, Mezzi is purpose built for investing, which we believe is the biggest lever to growing wealth. Investing requires special data sets, which we continue to invest in so that we can give you the best insights into how to invest smarter, whether that means picking better stocks and ETFs or setting the right portfolio allocation.
