Time-controlled secrets with zero-knowledge encryption. I literally can't read your messages - keys never leave your device. Set activation/expiration times, share via web links. Your digital caretaker for any secret that needs to exist only when it should.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋
Quick story: I was watching The Blacklist (stay with me here) - there's an episode about "The Caretaker," a mysterious figure who keeps secrets for the criminal underworld. He's untouchable because he's completely neutral. No one can force him to reveal anything.
That got me thinking: What if we had a digital caretaker that was untouchable, not because of power, but because it literally CANNOT access your secrets?
Enter Meteoro. 🌟
The twist: Even I, the developer, cannot read your messages.
Your encryption key never leaves your device. I only store encrypted gibberish. If someone put a gun to my head, I still couldn't decrypt your secrets. That's not a bug - it's the entire point.
The problem we've all faced:
- "Hey, here's the Zoom password" → Lives in Slack forever
- "WiFi code is..." → Still in your texts 6 months later
- "Staging server credentials" → Buried in email threads
- "Use this API key for testing" → Floating in DMs indefinitely
Meteoro solves this with time controls:
⏰ Activation Time - "This meeting password activates at 2 PM"
💀 Expiration Time - "It dies when the meeting ends at 5 PM"
🌍 Global Ready - Works across time zones (no more "EST or PST?" confusion)
🔗 One-Click Access - Recipients just need the link. No apps, no signups
🚫 Panic Button - Instantly revoke any secret if plans change
Real world use:
- Consultants: Project credentials that expire with the contract
- Parents: Babysitter gets house alarm code just for tonight
- Developers: Debug session passwords that vanish after fixing
- Event hosts: Access codes that activate on event day only
- Anyone: Share anything that shouldn't live forever
For the tech curious:
Built with React Native, AES-256 encryption via Web Crypto API, and PBKDF2 key derivation. All encryption happens client-side. The web viewer decrypts in-browser. Zero-knowledge architecture from day one.
This isn't about trusting me - it's about not NEEDING to trust anyone.
