The first liquid staking solution on NEAR Protocol 2. Meta Pool will play a key role to unlock the NEAR DeFi ecosystem growth potential. 3. Users will be able to use the protocol directly from the wallet. 🚀 How does it work? 🚀 When staking with Meta Pool, users receive stNEAR tokens representing their share of the total supply of metapool’s staked NEAR. stNEAR tokens can be used like any other NEP-141 Token to earn yields and lending rewards. The stNEAR price is updated every epoch to reflect NEAR Protocol staking rewards. By using Metapool, users can “liberate” their currently locked funds (more than 340m NEAR). Funds will be still staked and for NEAR stakers we reduced their risk by automatically allocating the staked NEAR to the best performing validators. Stakers get stNEAR liquid tokens so they can participate in the DEFI space while staking. 🚀 What is $META? 🚀 $META is a NEP-141 token granting governance rights in the Meta Pool DAO. The Meta Pool DAO governs the staking contract, decides on key parameters (e.g., fees, grants and proposals) and executes protocol upgrades to ensure efficiency and stability. By holding the $META token, one is granted voting rights within the Meta Pool DAO. The more $META a user holds, the greater the decision-making power the voter gets. $META rewards will go to participants who engage with the protocol by taking one or more of the following actions: staking, liquidity provisioning, and liquid unstaking. The token rewards will vary depending on the amount of assets deposited (either via staking or liquidity provisioning) and the length of time the assets remain active in the protocol.
