Hey Product Hunt! 👋 Manuals suck when your hands are full. Flipping paper pages or zooming in on PDFs while assembling hardware or repairing gear completely breaks your flow and leads to costly errors. We built Mentor G1—smart glasses that project step-by-step technical guidance right into your field of view. 100% Hands-Free: Voice and spatial control keep your hands on the tools. Contextual Overlays: Real-time schematics mapped over physical parts. Ditch the manual. Let us know what you think
The idea for Mentor G1 came directly from observing industrial technicians on the factory floor.
During our field research, we noticed something clear: workers who constantly referenced their technical manuals were drastically more accurate and made fewer costly mistakes. The documentation worked. The real issue was the physical friction of using it.
Every time a worker paused to look down at a manual, flip a page, or swipe a tablet screen, their workflow stopped. Their hands had to leave the machinery, their focus broke, and time was lost. They needed the guidance from the page, but the physical manual itself was getting in the way of their work.
That's when the obvious question hit us: Why not just put the manual right in front of their eyes?
But simply projecting pages of dense text onto a lens wasn't enough—nobody wants to read a manual while doing precision work. Workers don't need paragraphs; they need direction.
So we designed Mentor G1 to strip away the reading entirely. Instead of making users scan through text, our smart glasses overlay tiny, precise directional arrows and real-time text callouts directly over the physical machinery. You don't have to read through steps or figure out which part is which—the glass shows you exact alignment, where the next screw goes, and which wire to connect in real time.
We built Mentor G1 to keep workers' hands on their tools and their eyes on their task, transforming complex technical documentation into instant visual intuition.
