Meniska is an offline-first laboratory workstation for biology and chemistry, eliminating math drift with a custom 128-bit decimal core. Built for real wet-bench work, its glove-friendly Bench Mode keeps the screen awake with 88dp targets. Includes 16 engines (serial dilutions, molarity, buffer systems, cell seeding, ELISA 4PL) and offline PubChem/Cellosaurus vaults. Features an ISO 8655 pipette guard to prevent dispensing errors inside cleanrooms and hoods.

A $4,000 batch of recombinant antibodies was ruined because someone’s smartphone screen went to sleep inside a biosafety hood.
Sounds absurd, but that’s the reality of modern wet-bench science. We build CRISPR tools and train multi-billion-parameter models, yet everyday lab math is still handled on torn paper towels, ad-ridden web calculators from 2004, and standard phone calculators that suffer from IEEE-754 floating-point drift.
So instead of building another generic productivity tracker, I spent the last few months building Meniska: an offline-first computational workstation engineered specifically for the physical chaos of wet-bench work.
Three things that make it completely different:
Obsidian Bench Mode: Massive typography, high-contrast HUD, zero screen timeouts, and 88dp tap targets. You can literally advance protocol steps using your knuckle without stripping off nitrile gloves.
Zero-Float Math Core: Standard double-precision math drifts across serial dilutions. We run a native 128-bit decimal engine. If you calculate an aliquot down to the attomole, the math stays exact.
Hardware Pipette Guard: It actively screams at you if your requested volume violates ISO 8655 metrology thresholds (because physical micropipettes cannot defy fluid mechanics, no matter what your formula says).
Runs 100% locally in bunker labs, shields, and cleanrooms.
Stop using paper towels and dirty phone calculators. Roast the UX, break the math, and tell me what engine we should build next! 🧪
