When a buyer asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Claude "who should I hire?", does your business come up? MencionIA asks the questions your buyers ask, without naming brands, and shows who gets recommended instead. Then it does the work: a site audit graded A to F, fixes with the prompt already written, the answer pages you're missing (WordPress plugin), and an MCP server to ask Claude about your AI visibility and your Google Ads (beta). Hi Product Hunt, I'm Sam. I build software for small businesses in Spain, and this year the same question kept coming up: "a customer told me ChatGPT recommended my competitor. Why not me?"
Most AI visibility tools answer that with a dashboard: a percentage that goes up or down. That's useful for big brands with a content team. A dentist, a law firm or a small agency needs the next step too, so MencionIA does three things:
1. Measures it honestly. It asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude the questions a buyer in your market would ask, in your country (US or UK on the English version), without naming any brand. To be precise about what "asks ChatGPT" means: I query the current model behind each app (GPT-6 Sol, Gemini 3.8 Flash, Perplexity Sonar, Claude Sonnet 5) through OpenRouter with live web search, not the consumer apps themselves. A call that fails never counts as "you don't show up".
2. Tells you what to change. A site audit graded A to F on five fronts (GEO, SEO, security, accessibility, performance) and concrete fixes, each with a prompt already filled in with your data.
3. Writes what's missing. The answer pages AI engines look for, ready to publish, or published to your site through the WordPress plugin.
The part I use most myself: everything is available through an MCP server, so I can ask Claude "what should I fix first?" or "how did my Google Ads do last month?" and it answers with my own data. You connect your Google Ads account from the dashboard and the same MCP answers about your campaigns. Google Ads is in beta: Google is still reviewing our app, so when you connect you'll see Google's warning screen first. It's read-only, we can't touch your campaigns.
I started in Spanish. Twelve Spanish industries are measured in a public Observatory, re-measured every four weeks. One pattern surprised me: in many categories the AIs don't recommend businesses at all, they recommend platforms (Idealista, Doctoralia, Shopify, Taxfix). The US Observatory, another twelve industries, is live too, and the same thing shows up there (Avvo, Redfin, LinkedIn Learning).
The check is free: confirm your email and the report is in your dashboard in about a minute, one per email and per website every 30 days. I'd love to hear where it gets your market wrong.
