How does the spaced repetition actually adapt for younger kids who might struggle to keep up with the default intervals, and is there a way for teachers to override or customize that?
@tuana1213430 Thanks for your questions! Could you let me know what you mean by intervals? Memorlearn's flashcard system uses adaptive spaced repetition based on each student's performance (active recall + accuracy tracking per card). It automatically adjusts review intervals:
If a younger child struggles (e.g., gets cards wrong or rates them as hard), the system shortens intervals and shows the card more frequently for reinforcement.
As mastery improves (consistent correct recalls), intervals gradually lengthen to promote long-term retention without overwhelming the learner.
This is similar to proven SRS algorithms but tuned for a clean, kid-friendly experience (with image support, simple UI, and integration across subjects like Bible memory or custom decks). It's not a rigid default schedule — it's responsive to real performance data, which helps kids who need more repetition without frustrating them.
Other modules like Math Fluency are also adaptive (targeting weak facts automatically), and the platform overall supports ages ~4+ with teacher/parent oversight for pacing.
