Walk through your office as an avatar, bump into colleagues in the hallway, and start a conversation on the spot. Like a real office, only better. Meetropolis is a 2D office your team leaves open all day. Walk up to someone and the call starts, walk away and it ends. Spatial audio, video, maps you build yourself. With In-Room Screen Sharing. Self-host it (AGPL-3.0 + MIT) or use our hosted version in Germany.

Hi Product Hunt, I’m Ansgar.
My team went remote and kept the meetings but lost everything around
them. Nobody bumps into anybody in a calendar. So we built Meetropolis:
a 2D office you leave open in a tab, where a conversation starts because
you walked over, not because someone booked 30 minutes.
Repo: https://github.com/lass-machen/m... docker compose up and it’s yours.
If you’d rather not run servers, we operate a hosted version in Germany.
The part I actually want to talk about: it’s built multi-tenant, with pluggable billing and an admin dashboard.
So you can run one instance for your agency’s clients, your university’s departments, or your own customers. That’s deliberate.
Where other in this space are ahead: maturity, community, years of iteration, 5k+ stars. We’re new. Same map tooling though.
Our hosted plan bills per concurrent user. Self-hosting costs you a server.
We’re new and I’d rather say it than dress it up. No ten thousand customers. What we do have: pilot teams using it daily and a setup that does what the page says.

Bring a colleague, it’s dull alone.
What I’d like from you: What's the one thing about sharing an office that no remote tool has given you back yet?
