This is definitely a gorgeous app, and I'm compelled by the much more casual, lower-commitment use case of a micro meet-up. Using Meetup.com for arranging a happy hour with industry friends feels like overkill, so does wading through the noise of Facebook for putting together weekend brunch. It feels like there's room here for Meetly and I hope they do well!
The UI/UX on the iOS version is beautiful. These guys are making planning and discovering meetups much more pleasant. I'm curious to see if the use case of a "micro-meetup" is really a hit, which seems to be public events that are designed for groups of <50 or so people. The community is still really small, and that's ultimately what's going to make or break any community-driven platform like Meetly, but with Meetup.com being as spammy as it is, I think Meetly has a shot to take over the space.
