I built meer for everyone who's ever been told "go check it on GitHub" and felt lost in the terminal commands and branch jargon — students starting out, code reviewers, document reviewers, and anyone who just wants to peek inside a repo. meer is a tiny Windows desktop app that strips all of that away. After picking GitHub or GitLab, type an owner or org name to connect — then pick the repository and branch from dropdowns, and click any file. No clone, no terminal, no setup. What you see: - Markdown renders beautifully (toggle to raw source anytime) - Code is syntax-highlighted, with adjustable font size for tired eyes - Images preview inline - Multi-select, ZIP download, double-click to open with your default app And yes, there is a tiny meerkat watching over everything. Cuteness is a feature, not an accident. Tokens (when you need private repos) are encrypted locally with Windows DPAPI and never leave your machine. No telemetry. No analytics.
