MeelMate

I’ve been living in the Boston area for just over a year now, and I’ve noticed that a lot of events and social gatherings seem to get stuck in the planning stage, which makes sense, since we’ve all got a ton of other commitments and priorities. As a way of complementing more structured, planned-in-advance events, I created MeelMate, which is a simple platform for creating impromptu events. All you need to do to create a new event is set a location and a duration, and folks close by can see what events are happening and come join you. Unlike other apps where locations need to be decided in advance, MeelMate allows you to invite others to come join you where you currently are.
