What a cool landing page you have bro! Damn 🔥 I can't wait to get started with this app as I started working out a month ago. I've noticed progress but I need to gain more weight, gotta eat more but more importantly have a balanced diet.

Congrats on the launch, team! The concept of Meals.chat is fantastic for busy people. I love how much time can save tracking meals through photos. It's a great blend of technology and nutrition! P.S. I also have a suggestion, it would be great if app could offer suggestions for healthier alternatives based on the meals we upload

@ekarp Yes for sure - a few people asked for that :)

Hey! I like the idea, but I've got some concerns. As someone who's really into tracking what I eat down to the detail, I've noticed a couple of things. - First off, when I use the same image, the estimated weight of the food shown changes every time, and sometimes the difference is pretty big. Also, it's often tough to guess the weight right from the images even for a human being, and even OpenAI claims their visual models make only approximate estimations. This leads to another issue about getting the macros right: - if you can't estimate the weight accurately, figuring out the exact nutrition info gets tricky. For someone who just want to keep a simple food diary, it might be no big deal, but for those of us trying to keep a close eye on calories and nutrients, I'm a bit doubtful... What do you think?

@alena77 Hey, thanks for taking the time to write up your feedback. Yes I agree for those who are serious about tracking their diet this probably isn't the right tool for them. However you can correct the analysis by replying to the bot. Also if you know exactly what you're eating you can write, for example: /add chicken breast 200g, lettuce 50g And that's a lot more accurate.

@jamespotterdev thanks for getting back to me :) I have another question if you don't mind: How does the system handle non-generic items, like prepackaged foods or yogurts, where the nutritional content can differ based on the ingredients and vary from one brand to another? And again, thanks for response!

@alena77 If any info about a product is available online then it's probably pretty good. For example if you give it a Big Mac it's very accurate.

How did I ever track what I was eating before this! Great job James, so useful, especially for health/fitness fanatics like me. Great app and can't wait to see where you take this.

I am obsessed with what I eat. This is just the perfect app to track my macros. Now I'm gonna be fitter than the gym bunnies. Let's go 💪

I've been using this for a week and it's SO much better/easier than other meal tracking and calorie tracking apps. Already seeing improvements that I can make to my diet. It can also track caffeine which is so useful!
