Congratulations on the Product Hunt launch, mDash team! The project seems like a realy helpful tool. Like the idea that web development teams won't need any other communication hubs & apps. Looks smooth and useful. Way to go!
Brian Hurst
@burmistrov Thank you George! Our team has been using it for the past 8 months and I can attest to the fact that it greatly streamlines the development process.

Congratulations on launching mDash! I'm curious - how does mDash account for unexpected delays or scope creep down the road? As an early user, is there a way to dynamically adjust timelines and tasks?
Kate Larson
@sarvpriy_arya Hi Sarvpriy, great question! An initial project will automatically break down into tasks that you (and the client, if you choose) can always see. To tackle unexpected delays first, when a task can't be completed in the time it's allotted due to one reason or another, there are status reports and progress bars at the task-level that will allow the PM and Dev to keep track. At the project and task level, the timeline will change and there will be an explanation for that in the task. There is an automated QA process as well that can help clear things up if this happens. For scope creep, again those initial tasks are already listed out. When a client makes a new request and needs to add tasks, they'll be quoted right away and it'll be added to the total time and budget in the mDash. If you're doing that for the client (meaning you don't have them watching the project on the platform), it'll be up to you to communicate any changes. All in all, both the budget and timelines will automatically adjust when changes are made at the task-level. You can adjust this as well by updating the tasks in the project.

Oh man, I wish this was around when I was a PM!
Brian Hurst
@anthony_latona Think of how much time you could've saved!
Looks like an ultimate time-saver! Congrats on your launch and thank you for your hard work
Brian Hurst
@dilancelik Great way to describe mDash, it is the ultimate time saver as far as development team productivity goes. Thank you very much for the kind words!
Philipp Shay
Hi! congratulations on the launch! 🚀 This sounds amazing! How does mdash ensure accurate quotes? And can it integrate with other project management tools?
Brian Hurst
@kinzarra Hey Philipp, mDash's predictions for timeline or cost are both based on thousands of previously completed development tasks that run through our proprietary algorithm. mDash will also "learn" from you and your team as you track time on tasks and complete them. Eventually it will become sync'd with your teams velocity and output to give you personalized output results. It is on our roadmap, however mDash currently doesn't integrate with any other PM tools or platforms.
