Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Tony, the developer behind McPlugins — a suite of 4 audio compressors for music producers and audio engineers (VST3/CLAP, Windows/Linux/macOS).
The idea started simple: I wanted a compressor with multiple emulation types (Optical, VCA, FET, Tube, Bus, Digital) in a single plugin, without switching tools. It grew into a full suite built
in C++ on top of the iPlug2 framework, with SIMD-optimized DSP and a real-time spectral analyzer.
The feature I'm most excited about is the inter-plugin shared memory sidechain — McMsc and MbMcMsc can route sidechain audio between plugin instances across tracks without any DAW routing
cables, using lock-free ring buffers in shared memory. It's something I haven't seen done this way elsewhere.
A free demo is available on the website — the full plugin runs with a brief mute every 30 seconds so you can evaluate it properly before buying.
Happy to answer any questions about the DSP, the architecture, or the plugin formats. Feedback is very welcome — this is my first commercial release.
