Mcplama is an 100% open-source, self-hosted MCP gateway for managing Model Context Protocol servers, credentials, access policies, and audit logs.
Hey everyone,
We’ve been building MCPlama, an open-source MCP gateway for managing MCP servers and client access from one place.
You can run it with Docker and connect Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex, or any MCP client through a single gateway.
MCPlama lets you:
Add MCP servers from the registry or using HTTP, Docker, npx or uvx
Manage credentials and OAuth centrally
Use shared or per-user authorization
Create access policies for users and tools
Give users their own connection tokens
See every MCP call in the activity/audit log
Monitor activity and configure alerts
MCP calls go through one path: authenticate → check policy → apply credentials → audit → route to the MCP server.
MCPlama is free, open source and self-hosted. It runs as a single Docker image.
We’re still early and would really like feedback from people actually using MCP.
