As a robotics tooling company, we encounter a lot of different approaches to recording robotics data for analysis, debugging, event review, ML training, and more. We've distilled a common set of requirements from talking with customers and looking at existing approaches, and this is our effort to give back to the community by releasing an open-source (and patent-free) file format with several programming language implementations.
