I’m the maker of MC-ENGINE, a free Minecraft skin editor that runs right in your browser. I built it because I wanted one clean place with everything for making skins, instead of jumping between several tools.
What you can do:
Paint on a live 3D model or the flat 64x64 template
Use base and overlay layers, make HD skins (128x128 and up)
Turn a photo into a skin, or load any player’s skin by username
Fix broken or old skins, pose your character, record videos
Download a PNG for Java or a .mcpack for Bedrock
