Official alerts lag. Satellites generalise. mazha.live fills the gap with live rain intensity from people on the ground across Kerala - district by district, verified by the community - plus real-time dam storage levels for every major reservoir in the state. When Idukki crosses 90%, you'll know. When your district tips from drizzle to heavy, you'll know. No app. No account. One tab, open in seconds.

Hey PH 👋
I'm the one person who built this - nights, weekends, during the actual monsoon with rain hitting my window. Felt appropriate.
A bit of context on why this exists:
Kerala has a unique problem. The rain and the dams are connected - when it pours hard upstream, the reservoirs fill fast, and downstream districts have maybe hours to prepare. But the tools never showed both together. You'd check IMD for rain, some government portal for dam levels, a WhatsApp forward for road conditions. Three tabs. Twenty minute lag. Zero hyperlocal accuracy.
mazha.live puts all of it in one place. The community rain map is the part I'm most proud of - reports come from actual people standing in it, not satellites guessing from 600km above.
Would love your honest feedback. Especially from anyone outside Kerala - does the concept translate? Could this work for other flood-prone regions?
Also if you're Malayali - report your local rain when the season hits. The map is only as good as the people reporting. 🌧️
