I train BJJ and got tired of the routine every time I wanted to roll somewhere new. Dig through a gym's Instagram, guess the schedule, DM them, wait, maybe get a reply. Worse when traveling. So I built MatDrop. Drop a pin anywhere, see the academies nearby, their real schedules, drop-in fees, and open mats. It covers 4,000+ gyms across 39 countries right now. The lineage tree is the part I had the most fun with. You can trace coaches from Maeda down to today and see who's teaching where. It's free. If you train, I'd love for you to find your gym on it and tell me what's wrong or missing. If your gym isn't there or the info's off, tell me and I'll fix it.
honestly this looks super useful for traveling to train, but one thing that would really help is if you could see reviews or ratings from other drop-in visitors, like how welcoming the gym is to visitors and whether they actually roll with newcomers. that would save a lot of guesswork when showing up somewhere new

@tolgakaraat Agreed, especially for beginners. And rolling with newcomers is only half of it, the other half is whether visitors are leaving hurt. Fee and schedule are easy facts. How a room treats a guest isn't in any dataset. This would be a great addition to MatDrop. Thanks!
