Match Notebook is a scouting notebook for racket sports players—tennis, table tennis, badminton, and pickleball. Track opponents’ weaknesses, write a strategy card, and record game-by-game scores. After a match, capture what worked and update the plan. Before a rematch, the Scout tab shows your game plan in 30 seconds and can remind you on match day. No account, network, or subscription: data stays on your device; unlimited is a one-time $14.99.

Hey! I'm Akira, an indie dev from Japan.
My daughter plays competitive table tennis. Before every match, she'd flip through a paper notebook where she'd written down opponents' weaknesses and tactics. It worked — but she kept losing pages.
I built Match Notebook to replace that paper notebook. It's designed for the moment right before a match when you need to remember: "what worked last time?" It even reminds you on match day and opens straight to that opponent's strategy card.
Built with SwiftUI. Everything runs on-device with no server. The free tier covers casual players — serious competitors can unlock unlimited with a one-time purchase.
I'd love to hear how you prepare for matches. Do you keep notes on opponents?

This looks really handy for match prep — love that the scouting data stays on-device. Quick question though, if I switch phones do my notes transfer over, or is everything locked to one device?
Thank you so much for the kind words — really glad the on-device approach resonates! Great question: your notes live in the app's local
storage, which is included in standard iPhone backups and device-to-device transfer. So if you set up a new phone the usual way (quick start
transfer or restoring from a backup), everything comes along automatically. What it doesn't do yet is live sync between two devices — iCloud
sync is on the roadmap.

Finally a scouting tool that gets how I think before a rematch. The reminder opening straight to the strategy card is the kind of small detail that actually saves me on match day.

Thank you — comments like this genuinely make my day. That reminder-to-strategy-card flow came straight from my own club nights, so hearing it
saves you on match day means a lot. If there's anything else you find yourself wanting right before a match, I'd love to hear it — real
match-day feedback is what shapes what comes next.
