Hey everyone!
We’re so excited to launch on Product Hunt! 🚀
At Mapfit, we focus on having the most accurate, up-to-date and lightning fast maps on the planet and have been at it since 2015. We help power location-based products and experiences looking to exceed the expectations of their users.
You know that moment when you first watched TV in HD and realized standard definition just wouldn’t cut it anymore? That’s the kind of jump in quality we’re offering with Mapfit maps. Here are the features that make the difference:
🚪 Front-door accuracy: We geocode addresses points to be within a few meters of the physical door. You can access this powerful feature in all of our mapping products and with our Geocoder API.
🚚 Entrance definition: For most buildings in urban areas, we provide multiple distinct entrances such as primary and secondary pedestrian, parking and freight entrances.
⚡️ Vector-based: We reimagined map rendering and distribution so that our map tiles are served in just 16ms (50x faster than competitors). We're optimized to not slow your page load down and hurt SEO, unlike other maps.
🏘 Beyond Open Street Maps: We love OSM and use it as a source, but not the only source. We combine a mix of commercial and open data sources, then normalize them and decipher front-door accuracy through our proprietary data process.
Plus, we’re cross-platform. 📱 Implement our next-level maps into your Android or iOS app, Javascript, or Wordpress site using our plug-ins and SDKs. We even have open-source sample projects to get you started. Check these out and learn more from our docs at Mapfit.com.
We’re devoted to keeping costs low and quality high for our partners. And we’re continuously improving and rethinking our maps to support the next generation of products and applications. So, please try Mapfit out and let us know what you think!
Thanks!

@stephaniegolik this is great! What is your target market for this? Small dev shops or more enterprise customers?

@stephaniegolik great HD analogy. Going to dig in here. More offerings in the map space, the better! Congrats on PH launch. Btw after looking at the pricing, (we've been working with map APIs for years and have used almost all), I'd recommend you have a free tier to get startups on. $49/month seems low but integration and perf testing takes time. Worth considering.
@paultomkinson hey Paul, thanks for the support and the great recommendations! We have updated our pricing to offer a free tier :) check out the breakdown at mapfit.com/pricing.

This looks really interesting. I own an app that uses Google Maps API, can this directly replace that right now? Can you reach out so I can ask a few questions? Unsure of how to reach out to you directly with Product Hunt
'95% The percent of building addresses mapped within a few steps of the doorway.'
That's an incredibly bold claim, and my geocoding results didn't really match up. Do you have any comparison statistics I could look at for your geocoding engine?

I just tested a location where Google Maps marks an incorrect side of a building (who wants to see a restaraunt's dumster?!). Mapfit got it right.
I just used the "contact us" button on the pricing page to request some information. unfortunately I got a mail back with "We're writing to let you know that the group you tried to contact (sales) may not exist".
Looks very promising btw!!
@stefan_kracht Hi Stefan! Apologies, shouldn't happen again. Feel free to reach out to me directly at armaan@mapfit.com and I'll be sure to answer any questions
No problem, launch day is always a little bit tricky :)

That's the crappiest con I have seen in a while.

I'm impressed by the moxy of throwing down the gauntlet on Google. "We’re better or equal to Google Maps in accuracy in every country." It's a smart way to attract attention and differentiate yourself from the incumbent.
The design of the landing page is great, but before signing up I would like to see the maps in action. I suggest embedding a map for visitors to play around with before committing. At the very least, I would include a video showcasing the maps to allow potential customers to make a more informed decision. Also, the Favicon is a little detail, but not having one substantially diminishes the polish.
Anyway, good job. I am intrigued to see where you go from here.
@amoreda thanks Antonio! I appreciate you bringing up some lack of clarity, aim to patch these things up very soon. We have a map for you to browse on our demo page (top right of our navigation bar)!
