Whether it's onboarding a new teammate, writing an SOP, or documenting a software workflow, the process is usually the same. You perform the task once, then do it all over again just to take screenshots, organize them, and write step-by-step instructions. It's repetitive, time-consuming, and quickly becomes outdated. I thought there had to be a better way. So I built Manual Maker. Instead of writing documentation after the fact, you simply record yourself completing the task as you normally would. Manual Maker captures each interaction, understands the UI using DOM context, and uses AI to generate a structured user guide automatically. One challenge we focused on was reliability. Most AI-generated documentation is produced in a single pass, which can introduce mistakes or hallucinations. We wanted something people could actually trust, so we built an AI review loop that checks every generated step against the original recording and rewrites anything that isn't sufficiently supported before presenting the final draft. The result is a workflow where you can go from screen recording → polished documentation in just a few minutes, with exports to Word, PDF, Markdown, ZIP, or even a Claude Skill.
