Manipulation is a free browser card game for 2–8 players using two decks. Build sets or same-suit runs of three or more, then reshape the shared table by moving cards between melds—so long as every pile remains valid. Play timed or untimed, across devices with a room code, against bots, or control several seats yourself. Four rotating rounds and a golf-style scorecard reward the lowest score. No download or ChatGPT sign-in required.

Hi Product Hunt! I built Manipulation because I love card games where the board stays alive after each turn. The twist is that melds aren’t permanent: once cards reach the table, every player can rearrange them, extend them, or split them—as long as all resulting piles are still valid sets or same-suit runs of 3+.
This first release supports 2–8 players, private room codes for different devices, bots, timed and untimed play, rotating starters, and a four-round golf-style scorecard. It’s free and works in the browser with no account required.
It’s still an early version. The bots make straightforward legal plays, and there’s no ranked matchmaking, profiles, or tournaments yet. I’d especially love feedback on rules that feel unclear, multiplayer edge cases, and the table layout on smaller screens. Thanks for playing!

the move-cards-between-melds rule is way more interesting than it sounds, totally changes how you think about laying down sets. also nice that you can play solo against bots without setting up a full lobby.

honestly really fun concept, the moving cards between melds thing keeps you on your toes. one thing i'd love is a little replay or undo button for when someone misclicks a move, since reshuffling the whole table after a slip-up kind of kills the momentum, especially in timed rounds.

Played a quick round against a bot and the move-between-melds mechanic really changes the feel from regular rummy. Room code made it easy to pull my partner in on her phone without any setup.

Played a quick round against two bots and honestly the moving cards between melds thing is a fun twist, makes you actually think before laying anything down. Room code across devices worked first try too, which is rarer than you'd expect.

The "move cards between melds while keeping every pile valid" rule is a really elegant little constraint—it turns each turn into a spatial puzzle instead of just a numbers game. Love that it runs straight in the browser with a room code, no friction at all.

Super clean concept and runs right in the browser, love that. One thing that would really help is a spectator mode so a ninth friend can drop into the room code, watch the round, and hop in next hand when someone steps out. Would make it way easier to host with a full crew.
