Most packing apps hand you an empty list. ManDanDan fills it in for you, then makes sure you actually packed it. Pick a scenario and the list builds itself: clothing scaled to your trip length, rain gear or warm layers from your destination's weather, passport and plug adapter if you're crossing a border. Every automatic item tells you why it's there. Then it follows you out the door: 200m from home with something unpacked, your phone stops you. No account, no ads, no subscription.

Hi Product Hunt 👋
I built this because I have left my charger behind in four different
countries.
I tried every packing app I could find. They all had the same shape:
here's an empty checklist, now go remember everything yourself. But
remembering is the hard part. The checklist was never the problem.
So ManDanDan works backwards. You tell it where you're going and for
how long, and it writes the list — pulling your destination's weather
for those exact dates, scaling clothing counts, adding a plug adapter
and passport when you cross a border. Every item it adds is labeled
with the reason, so you can argue with it and delete things.
Then the part I'm most attached to: it doesn't wait for you to open
it. 200 meters from home, if something's still unchecked, your phone
buzzes. That's the moment you can still turn around.
A few things I sweated over:
- Ticket OCR runs on-device by default. Your boarding pass never
leaves your phone unless you explicitly ask for cloud recognition.
- Built for three languages from day one, with full VoiceOver and
Dynamic Type support.
- One-time purchase. No account, no ads, no subscription.
I'm a solo developer and this is my first Product Hunt launch, so I'd
genuinely love the criticism.
And the question I actually want answered: what's the one thing you
always forget? I'm collecting these to improve the default lists.
