Why you should play
Each year half million people become sick with malaria. Every minute a kid dies because of malaria.
Malaria is caused by a parasite transmitted by the bites of mosquitoes. Malaria is curable.
Diagnosis time can be up to 30 minutes. A microscopist has to count all the parasites in a blood sample.
MalariaSpot players are virtual “malaria hunters” who could help diagnose malaria throughout the world.
