Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built Maintainerd because I got tired of two things: cloud bills that balloon every time you add "just one more managed service," and being locked into a single provider to run anything seriously. What I actually wanted was a complete, cloud-provider-level platform I could host anywhere — on my own hardware on-premise, or on any cloud server I already pay for — and truly own. Deploy my apps simply, without renting a dozen expensive services just to get off the ground. So I started with the hardest, most critical piece: identity. maintainerd-auth is live today (v0.1.0) — a full OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect provider with MFA, SAML federation, and multi-tenancy, self-hostable in a single container. Open source, Apache-2.0. That's just the first building block. The plan is to keep adding services — object storage (S3-style), managed databases, CI/CD, and more — until you can run a real platform without needing a big-name cloud provider, and without the headache of wiring it all together yourself. Maintainerd brings the cloud platform to you; you keep the runtime, the data, and the keys. It's early and I'm building it in the open.
