Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm stormsia, maker of Maily.
Anyone who has automated end-to-end user registration flows in Playwright, Pytest, or Selenium knows the pain:
1. Public temp-mail APIs are brittle, fragmented, and break without warning.
2. Shared domains get blacklisted by SaaS signup forms on a daily basis.
3. You waste hours maintaining regexes trying to parse 6-digit OTP codes or confirmation URLs out of messy raw HTML.
I built Maily (https://github.com/stormsia/maily) as an open-source, resilient abstraction gateway over the disposable email zoo.
What makes it different:
• Multi-Provider Resilience: It aggregates 8 providers under one normalized schema with a live pool of 40+ rotating domains (including infinite `username+alias@gmail.com` via OAuth2).
• Instant OTP Extraction: With a single call like `code = await api.wait_for_code(box, timeout=30.0)`, your test gets the raw verification code or scored activation link as soon as the email hits the server.
• Zero-Ops Self-Hosting: Runs hermetically via Docker with SQLite WAL defragmentation (VACUUM/REINDEX) and zero external database dependencies.
• Standalone Client: Fully typed async/sync Python SDK (`pip install maily-client`).
• Cyberpunk Web Console: Dark-mode dashboard for visual debugging and real-time email inspection.
You can try it locally right now with a single Docker command:
docker run -d -p 8477:8477 ghcr.io/stormsia/maily:latest
I’d love to hear your feedback:
1. Which other email or temp-mail providers would you like to see supported?
2. How do you currently handle email verification in your test suites?
3. What features would make Maily even more helpful for your CI/CD pipelines?
Thank you for checking it out! ✉️
