Mailuminati Guardian

Collaborative & scalable spam/phishing detection

Stop Polymorphic Phishing with Structural DNA Matching 🛡️ Filters fail when attackers tweak content to bypass signatures. Guardian fingerprints the email's "DNA" using TLSH (Fuzzy Hashing). If a campaign changes a few letters, the DNA stays the same, enabling instant detection. Why it stands out: • Agnostic: Sidecar API for Rspamd, SpamAssassin, Postfix • Collaborative: Share threat clusters, not raw mail • Feedback Loop: Real-time learning via Dovecot/Sieve • Go-powered: Ultra-low latency

Hello Product Hunt! 🚀 I’m the creator of Mailuminati Guardian. By day, I lead the Anti-Abuse and Deliverability team at La Poste and serve as President of Signal Spam. I’ve spent years on the front lines, watching how phishing evolved from simple keyword-based junk to sophisticated, polymorphic campaigns that bypass traditional Bayesian filters with ease. The Problem: Attackers now use "mutating" templates, changing a few characters (like using homoglyphs) or tweaking the HTML structure for every single email. To a standard filter, these look like unique messages. The Solution: I built Guardian to focus on the Structural DNA of the email. By using TLSH (Locality Sensitive Hashing), we generate a fingerprint that remains stable even if the content is slightly altered. Why I made it Open Source: Email security shouldn't be a "black box" held by a few giants. I wanted to provide an agnostic, high-performance sidecar that anyone can plug into their existing stack (Rspamd, SpamAssassin, etc.) to share threat intelligence without ever compromising user privacy. Key Highlights: Privacy-First: We share hashes (DNA), never raw mail content. Community-Driven: The Mailuminati Oracle aggregates clusters to protect everyone as soon as one node reports a threat. Sysadmin Friendly: Written in Go, it's fast and easy to deploy as a sidecar. I’m excited to hear your feedback and answer any technical questions! How are you handling polymorphic threats today?
