Stops spam Gmail misses with content-aware AI

Mailix AI is a smart layer on top of Gmail that blocks spam based on content — not just sender or domain. Traditional filters rely on who sent the email. Mailix looks at what the email actually says. It detects patterns across messages — including randomized domains — and stops them even if the sender is brand new. With AI Smart Block and Auto-Clean, Mailix continuously learns and keeps your inbox clean without manual rules. Connect your Gmail in seconds and stop spam at the pattern level.

Hey everyone 👋
I built Mailix because spam has gotten really good at getting past Gmail filters.
I kept receiving emails that looked legit — random domains, fake invoices, stuff that clearly wasn’t normal — but still landed in my inbox.
Most tools I tried relied on blocking senders or cleaning up newsletters. They didn’t actually stop the problem.
So I built Mailix to work differently:
→ It understands the content of emails, not just who sent them
→ It learns patterns across messages (not just domains)
→ It blocks new spam even from completely unseen senders
→ It can automatically clean your inbox over time
The goal is simple: make your inbox feel under control again

@jonmroz This is a solid approach to the spam problem — content-aware filtering is definitely where the industry needs to go since spammers have figured out how to game sender reputation systems. The automatic cleanup feature is particularly useful for people dealing with inbox backlog. One question: how does Mailix handle legitimate emails that might have similar patterns to spam (like invoices from new vendors), and do users have visibility into what got flagged.
@osakasaul Really appreciate the thoughtful question — you’re exactly right about where filtering needs to evolve.
Mailix is designed to avoid false positives by combining two layers:
Spam signals (AI-detected patterns across emails)
User-defined AI rules (what you consider unwanted)
An email only gets blocked when both conditions are met:
It has a high spam score
It matches a pattern you’ve explicitly trained Mailix on
That second part is key — users create these rules instantly by clicking “AI Block” on any unwanted email. From there, Mailix learns and applies that pattern going forward. This keeps things like legitimate invoices or new vendors from being incorrectly filtered unless they truly resemble something you’ve flagged.
On visibility — yes, completely.
Mailix mirrors your Gmail inside the dashboard. It doesn’t replace Gmail or change how you use it. Instead, it shows you exactly what’s being flagged and why. Flagged emails are sent to spam for review, not deleted.
Nothing is ever permanently deleted unless you explicitly tell Mailix to do so.
The goal is simple: clean up your inbox without changing your workflow.
Thanks again for the question. :)
