Hi Product Hunt — I'm the publisher of MailBinder Local, a Windows utility (built with AI assistance) for turning an already-exported folder of EML emails into one indexed, bookmarked PDF.
The aim is straightforward: review a group of emails without opening every message separately. It can add supported attachment pages, keep source-file copies in a separate package, and write SHA-256 manifests and an issues report. The app processes files locally; it does not upload your emails or require an account or activation. The app itself contains no AI features and never sends email content to AI services.
You can try it with up to 25 emails per job. The optional full edition is JPY 980 once, with a 500-email job limit and no subscription. The evaluation is not licensed for production work and adds trial footers. Both editions have additional resource limits documented on the site.
Important boundaries: EML input only — no PST, MSG, OST or MBOX import, mailbox export, OCR, or Office-document conversion. HTML is simplified rather than reproduced faithfully. Unsupported characters can appear as boxes; reported glyph or conversion issues need manual checking. Keep your originals and check the output and errors.csv before relying on it. This is not a certified legal archive.
The Windows build is unsigned; SmartScreen or your organization's policy may block it. Please don't disable security protections to run it. The screenshots use a fictional 12-message sample, not customer data. AI tools helped with code, text and graphics; the release has also had automated tests and a separate Claude review, which are not guarantees of defect-free operation.
If you work with exported EML folders, I'd appreciate feedback on what makes the binder useful or unusable for your workflow. Please don't post confidential emails or attachments.
