🤔 WHAT INSPIRED ME TO BUILD THIS?
Last year, I noticed something strange: I was asking ChatGPT for product recommendations instead of Googling.
"Best eco-friendly water bottle for hiking?"
"Top noise-canceling headphones under $200?"
ChatGPT gave me answers instantly. But it NEVER recommended products from Shopify stores—even though millions of great products exist there.
That's when it hit me: we're optimizing for the WRONG search engine.
💡 THE PROBLEM I'M SOLVING:
60% of product searches now happen on ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google SGE. But 99% of online stores are completely invisible there.
Merchants spend thousands on Google Ads and SEO, while AI engines recommend their competitors for FREE.
We needed GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), not just SEO.
🛠️ HOW MY APPROACH EVOLVED:
Initially, I thought "just add better keywords." Wrong.
