Magdox watches your named competitors and tells you what actually changed. Pricing edits, hiring shifts, funding, reviews, ad spend. It drafts the battlecard your reps need and pushes it into your CRM. Digest to email, Slack or Teams. No dashboard to babysit.
Hi everyone.
We built Magdox because we kept finding out about competitor moves too late, and always in the same way. A competitor cut their price mid-evaluation. Another quietly opened four enterprise sales roles in a region we thought was ours. Both times it reached me through the buyer, in the worst possible sentence: "well, they are offering us X."
The second one stung more, because the price change had been sitting on a public pricing page for 11 days. Nobody hid anything. We just were not looking.
The tools I tried went one of two ways. Either a firehose of alerts I stopped reading by week two, or summaries so aggressive that the detail I actually needed had been compressed out of them.
So Magdox does a deliberately narrow thing. You name your competitors. It watches their pricing pages, job boards, news, reviews and ad presence. When something meaningful changes it tells you what changed, from what to what, not that something changed. Then it drafts the battlecard and can push it into your CRM.
What it is not: a research assistant, a scraper you have to configure, or another dashboard you forget to open. Digests go to email, Slack, Teams or a webhook, and the intent is that you connect a channel once and mostly stop opening the web app at all.
Two things we would genuinely like your help with:
1. If you do competitive intel today, what is the one signal you still check by hand every week because nothing automates it properly?
2. If you have a sales team, does a battlecard in the CRM actually get used, or does it die there? We have a real stake in the answer.
We're building this in the open and reading every comment today. Happy to be told we have got something wrong.
To be concrete about that rather than just saying it: three things broke in the week before this launch. A job board API silently ignored the company filter we sent, so we attributed one company's roles to another. Our AI battlecards were quietly falling back to templates because the prompt had grown past what the provider would accept. And a single failed API call made the whole app render as though you were on the free plan with nothing configured. We're writing all three up properly this week.
