Autonomous AI that plans, executes, and delivers is an ambitious direction. I'm curious—where have you found users are most comfortable handing work over completely, and where do they still want to stay involved in the loop?
@aryan787544 Great question on security! Here's how it works under the hood:
Isolated environments: Each user gets their own workspace. If a session is inactive, it automatically shuts down — no cross-user data leakage.
Authorization, not passwords: We never see or store your credentials. Gmail, Slack, HubSpot — all connections use OAuth flows powered by and Google Auth. You click "Connect," authorize on the provider's page, and Lynx gets a scoped token with only the permissions you approved.
You control the tools: You decide exactly what Lynx can and can't do. Want it to read emails but not send? Done. Want it to access Slack but only specific channels? Set it up. And if you want it to ask you before every action, that's a toggle away.
Privacy: Your prompts and workflows stay yours.
We also noticed that users become much more comfortable after they have watched Lynx complete the same workflow successfully a few times.
That is why Lynx shows the execution plan and TO-DOs, allows users to limit the available tools, and can stop for approval before sensitive steps.
We are not trying to force users to choose between doing everything manually and giving an AI complete control.
The idea is earned autonomy.

@apex7ai Really enjoyed this conversation. The idea of "earned autonomy" is a much more interesting framing than simply automating tasks.
I've got a few thoughts on where I think that positioning could become an even stronger advantage as the category evolves. If you're open to it, what's the best email to send them to?
One thing I'd love to see is a way to pause and resume long-running tasks from my phone, so I can check in on a research project while away from my desk.

Right now: You can access Lynx from any browser — including your phone. Log in, check your threads, see what's running. The dashboard is mobile-responsive, so you can monitor progress from anywhere.
What's coming: We're building native Android and iOS apps that will give you push notifications when a long-running task completes, and the ability to pause/resume workflows directly from your phone.
The architecture supports this: Each workflow runs in its own isolated environment with a lifecycle you control. Pause, resume, or kill a task — all from the dashboard (and soon, from the app).
For research workflows specifically, you can set Lynx to send you a Slack or email summary when it's done, so you don't have to babysit it.

Gave Lynx a messy goal to pull competitor pricing from a few sites and drop it into a sheet, came back to a clean table with sources cited. The OS framing actually feels earned when it just runs through the steps without me hand-holding it.

The user shouldn't have to define every single browser click or intermediate step. A broader request like yours can seamlessly turn into a full operation: planning the research, spinning up our isolated computer environment to scrape the sources, bypassing traditional automation bottlenecks, and normalizing the data into a clean spreadsheet with cited sources.
The true value isn't just generating the table; it’s the fact that you didn't have to tab-switch, copy-paste, or babysit the process.
