Lupo is an ambitious take on bridging the analog world with the digital. Instead of applying a regular filter over the photo that you take, Lupo is built on physically accurate film emulsion simulation. Each of the eight films pay homage to the classics of film photography and their characteristics have been carefully mapped out. But, above all, Lupo is about being deliberate and really thinking about the pictures that you are taking.
Lupo was a project that I was thinking about for couple of years. I was always fascinated with analog photography and for the longest it was one of my goals to build an app that would recreate some of that analog feeling in the digital world, but did not have a clear idea what the app should be. After all, I didn't want to build another app where you just apply filters to your photos and call it a day. Then one day it hit me: what if I try to model the real-world and simply build the whole "analog experience"? Starting from committing to one film until you finish it, then developing the film in a darkroom, and finally receiving the photos that you shot. That's the whole idea behind Lupo, which turns back the clock to the analog days, where everything had to be more thought out.
I'm really hoping that you'll enjoy this app as much as I do!
