As a long time Astropad user I jumped at the chance to get the Luna Display, I even ordered two as I had an older MacBook Pro at the time and was planning to upgrade so needed both connectors. It is fantastic for working away from your desk using the iPad Pro as second display but mainly for accessing Apple software using the iPad Pro with Pencil as a tablet. The hardware removes any lag you may get with a bluetooth connection or relying on a USB cable.

I use Luna Display every single day as an interface for a headless Mac server I have in my setup. Works flawlessly with recent updates. If I had one major complaint/wish it would be for Luna to utilize the built in keyboard function in IOS. Having to peck out characters on the remote Mac using Mac OS keyboard viewer is frustrating to say the least and really takes away from the experience. Ive read that the only workaround is to purchase their Astropad software which seems like overkill to obtain this functionality and sort of smells of a money grab?

Review of Luna Display
I'm using it for months now, almost a year now, and it really is a great product, even better than Sidecar on MacOS because it's not only limited to the Apple Pencil to use the iPad tactile. @mronge As an iOS Developer (but not only), the best use I found is to put iOS simulators (iPad and iPhone ones side by side) on the real iPad, to use them as real devices with touch gestures: https://twitter.com/erwanhesry/status/1359452104465788928

The January 2019 update takes the performance to another level. I wouldn't game on it but for every day use the responsiveness and lack of lag are impressive.

I use Luna Display both Mac to Mac and Mac to iPad. It's great when you travel with a Mac mini because you can use your iPad as the display, but it's also very powerful for presentations. Sidecar only works for newer Macs and I find that the Luna delivers lower latency anyway. Love it.

My experience with this has been very positive. I use a MacBook Pro 16 and extend that display onto my iMac 27 5K. The latency is very low and it has worked reliability. My only complaint is that sometimes it take a few moments (or longer) to initialize the second display. That being said, I use my iMac like a second monitor with heavy usage.

Review of Luna Display
I've been using Luna for about 2 years now, to enable my iMac to work as secondary display for Macbook(s). Connecting over thunderbolt makes the network connection smooth and also charges the macbook. Only feature wish to have, is ability to use secondary (iMac) mouse also on primary mac. I think there was some limitation that didn't allow this? Now I'm just using blutooth keyboard and mouse connected to macbook.

Review of Luna Display
Hi! (I´m using MacBook Pro as primary and iMac as secondary). I wouldn't recommend this product based on the following issues I´m experiencing: - The mouse tracker has a heavy delay / glitches all over the secondary screen. - Some keys on the secondary keyboard aren't recognised. (F.ex impossible it's not possible to hold down alt in order to Zoom in Photoshop but I can type text. Very weird.) - When making any kind of changes on the second screen everything becomes blurry and looks blurry for several seconds. F.ex when opening a new window, scrolling down or similar. Can´t even read some news without waiting for blurr to become clear. Simply not good enough. Note that I might change my mind regarding this product if there are any fixes to these issues which I might be unaware of ofc.
