I built Lumi by putting myself in two different positions: first as a business owner, and then as a customer. As a business owner, I wanted a system that would be fair to me and work according to how my business actually operates — my services, staff, schedules and availability. Then I put myself in the customer's position. I wanted the customer to get clear and accurate answers too, without being offered something that isn't actually available or having to guess what is going on with their appointment. That became the idea behind Lumi: an AI receptionist designed to understand both sides of the booking experience and be fair to the business and the customer at the same time. I'm launching Lumi to learn from real business owners and customers, hear what works and what doesn't, and use that feedback to keep improving the product.
