In my work as a UX/UI designer I'm often asked what the maximum length of a piece of text should be; either by a content writer or by a developer. I used to copy text into a character counter until I realised that these character counts may as well be embedded inside the lorem ipsum text that I was already using in my designs. This quickly speeds up the process. Other use cases that could be handy by placing character counts inside lorem ipsum text: - Know the maximum with of a piece of text based on a maximum characters per line (cpl). WCAG advises a maximum of 80 cpl, but there are other common values. We've added these as presets. - Quickly grab the amount of characters that common UI elements could need, such as a Twitter post (244 characters) or a button (32 characters). Could you think of any others?

I used it to know how wide my terminal is, then I could feed this into a pandas script, which can generate tables of the right width when I view them later.
