I was tired of the constant context-switching—taking a manual screen capture, dragging it into a chat, and waiting for an upload just to ask a question about a complex diagram or research paper. I wanted an assistant that could actually "see" what I was looking at without the manual friction. What makes LookUp different: Live-Sight Context: It captures your active tab context in real-time. If you’re looking at it, the AI is looking at it with you. Automated Organization: Every session is automatically saved into organized folders. No more messy desktops full of random "Screenshot_2026..." files. Privacy-First Architecture: You use your own API key. This keeps the tool high-performance, cost-effective, and ensures your data stays between you and the LLM provider. I engineered this using React and Chrome Extension API v3 with a focus on zero-latency asynchronous fetching. It started as a personal workflow tool, and I'm excited to finally share it with a wider community of researchers, students, and power users.
