👋 Hi everyone! I'm Ezra, the solo developer behind Log Nutrients.
Over the past year I've lost more than 40 pounds, and this app started as a tool I built for myself.
My original goal was simple: I wanted an easy way to see my daily calorie deficit using Apple Health energy data. I didn't want to spend time analyzing meals—I wanted to know whether I was on track toward my goal.
As I kept using it, I found myself adding the things that genuinely helped me understand my nutrition: protein, sodium, potassium, and eventually the sodium-to-potassium (Na:K) ratio.
Today, Log Nutrients is built around one simple idea:
Track nutrients, not foods.
It's private, built around Apple Health, and designed to make nutrition easier to understand—not more complicated.
Thanks so much for checking it out! I'll be around all day to answer questions and would love to hear your feedback.

Does the sodium-to-potassium ratio get calculated automatically as you log foods, or do I need to pull that number up manually each time? Also wondering how big the food database is compared to something like Cronometer.

@canancssc Great question! The sodium-to-potassium ratio is calculated automatically as you log your meals, so there’s nothing to calculate manually. Instead of a built-in food database, you can create your own reusable meals for one-tap logging, or quickly add one-off meals without saving them.

Logged a few days of meals and the sodium-to-potassium ratio view actually made me rethink some of my usual choices. Wish more trackers showed that instead of just macros.

@elmas5mz3 This honestly made my day. 😊 The Na:K ratio is one of the main reasons I built Log Nutrients in the first place. Thanks for giving it a try, and I’m really glad you found it useful!

finally a tracker that actually cares about sodium and potassium instead of just calories. wish more apps would pay attention to that ratio.

@umutfct Thanks! I wanted to track sodium and potassium for both blood pressure reasons and to better understand day-to-day scale fluctuations, not just calories.
