Hello everyone! I've had an itch to scratch - a truly secure and private app to track my family expenses. So I've built lofextra - LOcal-First EXpense TRAcker. The app stores all your data locally in SQLite database. If you want to use the app on multiple devices, just copy the 12-word seed (like in bitcoin) to the other device and witness all your data being synced immediately. A server is used to sync your data in e2e encrypted fashion. Are you offline? No worries, all your updates are stored locally and synced with the server once you come back online. lofextra is a web app that can be installed on your device as PWA (Progressive Web Application) to get the native app feel. Create your custom categories to organize your expenses. View detailed statistics across various time ranges. You can export or import the database anytime (you're effectively bypassing the server) - you're in complete control of your data. And the best part? lofextra is open-source. With lofik, it's extremely easy to build these kinds of local-first apps.
